Greetings,
Incorporated on June 19, 2019, Feed St. Mary’s received its first food delivery on March 20, 2020, becoming the first-ever Food Bank in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. Historically, our local food pantries and soup kitchens relied on sporadic donations and long trips to out-of-county food banks to secure the food they distributed to the people they serve. However, with the establishment of our own county-based food bank, we have ensured a more reliable source of larger volumes of products, guaranteed that better quality food will be delivered specifically into our county for disbursement, and facilitated the opportunity to establish new pantries in critical areas of need.
While we continue to make every effort to support anyone who needs food, we are especially mindful of the working poor in our community. In just five years, this local non-profit is already making a practical and sustainable difference in the lives of our community members. Feed St. Mary’s has successfully utilized a uniquely designed community model to distribute millions of pounds of food, including fresh protein and produce, to local pantries, soup kitchens, and feeding organizations. FSM has also supported food sharing events in communities throughout St. Mary’s. Feed St. Mary’s has joined the county government and the University of Maryland Extension Office for consecutive years to offer free produce and meat to residents. Simply put, our mission is to alleviate hunger throughout St. Mary’s County. Our vision is to help everyone in St. Mary’s County be free from hunger.
In an effort to ensure future sustainability, Feed St. Mary’s is hosting the 2026 Fall Harvest Fundraiser on Friday, October 23, 2026 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Fellowship Hall at 5 PM. We hope you can join us for an evening of dinner, entertainment, and storytelling. Tickets cost $75.00 per person, or 2 tickets/$120.00. You can purchase them online or through many of our local food pantries.

Thank you for all you have done to make Feed St. Mary’s a successful partner in addressing food insecurity in St. Mary’s County. We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you can join us at The Harvest.
